Beta No.5:資訊行為與「資訊」(information in information behavior)

因為上課的關係，又重新讀Case, D.的Looking for Information。實實在在的一本好書，對認識資訊行為(information behaviour)非常有幫助。之前對它的誤會真大 XD

昨天討論到「資訊」的本質，內容範圍主要是出自於Case(2002)的第三章。當然非常不好讀，內容抽象，相當哲學，但是在處理網站設計、資訊架構、網路工程、系統計設、資訊服務、資料庫等等與資訊相關主題時都極需去思考的根、核心的議題(昨天與J的對話真棒，知識是根)。

這章處理的議題在90's前就已被充分探討，直至今日許多當年研究者的主張依舊具有價值，可見得「資訊(information)」的概念並擴大或縮小，只是看待「資訊」的角度有慢慢轉移。

#1 Uncertainty?	→	allow for common sense notions of information used in everyday discourse;
#2 Physicality?	→	allow for internally generated information as well as externally generated information;
#3 Structure/ Process?	→	allow for types of information beyond that needed for "solving a problem" or "making a decision";
#4 Intentionaliy?	→	allow unintentional origins of information as well as for purposeful communication among people;
#5 Truth?	→	admit the importance of informal sources as well as formal sources;

最重要的是："Information involve the human mind, either in the creation, perception, or interpretaion of information"。這是為什麼資訊很重要，卻很難被瞭解。臺灣缺乏的思考大概也就在這一塊了。
